Botkids is proud to offer coding and robotics programs that are fully aligned with the South African CAPS curriculum. Our courses are designed to complement and enhance the learning objectives set out in the curriculum, ensuring that children not only gain essential coding and robotics skills but also build a strong foundation in problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity. NOVICE -Robotics & Coding Kit
Recommended for Grades R–3 Build a strong foundation in robotics and coding! Our Novice programme introduces young learners to core computational thinking skills in a fun and engaging way. Designed for beginners, it covers everything from unplugged coding to hands-on robot building and programming.

Ground Level (Grade R)

APPRENTICE - Robotics & Coding Kit
Recommended for Grades 4–6 Take your child’s coding and robotics skills to the next level! The Apprentice program is designed for learners ready to dive deeper into robotics using real-world coding tools and electronic components. With the Micro: bit and MakeCode, learners explore how sensors, motors, and inputs work to build interactive, intelligent machines.
Programme Levels:
Level 1 (Grade 4)
Begin with block-based coding and transition to write Code. Learn how to use buttons, sensors, and buzzers through engaging music and light activities. Includes: Music & Light components, workbook, facilitator guide & online courses.

Level 2 (Grade 5)
Build and program a Micro: bit car and crane. Explore obstacle avoidance, line following, and sensor integration (temperature, light, pressure). This includes: Apprentice Bot, workbook, facilitator guide & online courses.

Level 3 (Grade 6)
